IGSSE Forum 2018

Science without borders

7 - 9 May 2018 | TUM Science and Study Center, Raitenhaslach

In this year´s annual meeting our doctoral researchers have taken a closer look at the opportunities and challenges that come with global interaction on professional and personal level. 9 workshops have given insights into the clockworks of international funding, global business settings, careers, or international scientific impact, amongst others. Have a look at the workshop website for detailed information on the contents.

The keynotes of the 12th IGSSE Forum have shed a light on internationalization from diverse perspectives. We have been especially happy to welcoming Prof. Martin Bendsøe, special advisor to the president of the DTU, Denmark and Prof. Josef Rauschecker, internationally renowned neuroscientist at Georgetown University, USA. A panel discussion with Emily Palmer, Head of the EuroTech Universities Alliance office in Brussels and peers from the Alliance partner have complemented the various approaches to science without borders.

The Forum has also seen the 2nd Martini Colloquium, with five PIs of the 10th project team cohort presenting the status quo of their project teams. The program of the 2nd Martini Colloquium can be found here.
