IGSSE’s call for proposals for collaborative, interdisciplinary research projects with international partners has opened.
With the format International Project Teams, IGSSE aims to strengthen TUM’s network across the globe, to support international scientific collaboration and to promote the mobility and high-level qualification of doctoral researchers.
In this year’s call for proposals, IGSSE targets collaboration with
- its partner universities in the EuroTech Universities Alliance, i.e. Technical University of Denmark, École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, Institut Polytechnique de Paris, Technion – Israel Institute of Technology and Eindhoven University of Technology
- Ukrainian universities.
- Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST)
- Politecnico di Milano
- Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP)
We encourage researchers at these institutions to join forces with TUM and initiate an International Project Team. Please note that constellations with other international partners besides the universities listed above are not eligible to apply. We especially welcome proposals which exhibit a highly interdisciplinary approach and composition of the engaged researchers.
Successful projects will be supported with a doctoral scholarship funded for a total of four years, combined with relevant funding for consumables and mobility. The project is supplemented with an up-to-date, tailor-made qualification & networking program.
You can find the Call Document & Guidelines as well as the Proposal Template in the downloads.
Deadline for applications is 18th of September 2026.
If you have any questions, please contact us or join us for an Info Session per Ms-Teams on the 27th of July, 14pm.
