Programs and Calls
Since its foundation, the IGSSE has supported a wide variety of research projects. While the research fields and ideas have differed in many ways, they all had one thing in common. Each IGSSE project has an interdisciplinary, intersectoral and/or international character.
As an innovation hub with strategic research funding, we aim at fostering high-potential and trending research projects. Therefore, the IGSSE continuously seeks for new research opportunities and is eager to test new concepts. In line with TUM’s excellence initiative, the IGSSE supports programs with strategic partnerships, trending topics and far-reaching networks.
Projects supported by IGSSE usually have to undergo a competitive selection process. The jury can differ from our IGSSE Board over the TUM President to international experts. Our current programs reach from projects that were born out of exploratory workshops at TUM to projects with diverse European partnerships, such as the Imperial College London, the European Institute for Innovation and Technology and our partners from the EuroTech Alliance.
